2013 Ponds Forge Galas
Rotherham Metro will once again host a number of galas at the prestigious Ponds Forge complex in Sheffield in 2013. The year commences with a 2 day Long Course A/B Grade Licensed Level 3 Meet on January 19th and 20th. On May 18th and 19th we hold our premier meet of the year, the Long Course Licensed Level 1 meet which includes 9 year olds and is a great opportunity for swimmers to gain National Qualifying Times. Then on July 20th and 21st we hold our Short Course Graded Licensed Level 3 Meet. We finish the year with a further Short course Licensed Level 3 Graded Meet on September 21st. The second weekend of the Yorkshire Championships saw more success for our swimmers.
The first weekend of the Yorkshire Championships took place in Leeds and delivered success for George Russell, Rebecca Finnie and Josh Hillman.

The inaugural Bradford Halloween Meet held on October 29th and 30th produced a haul of medals.
This meet provided an opportunity for our younger swimmers to win plenty of medals.
George Russell was the star of the show at the Yorkshire Winter Championships held at Ponds Forge over the weekend of October 8th and 9th.
Charlotte Pearson claims the first National Qualifying time of the season as Metro finish seventh overall in the Robin Hood Meet.
Another successful meet for the club as we won Top Club and Kimberley Bush came away with the Top Girl trophy.
