2009 Ponds Forge Galas
Rotherham Metro will once again host a number of galas at the prestigious Ponds Forge complex in Sheffield in 2009. The year commences with a 2 day Long Course A/B Grade Level 3 Meet on January 17th and 18th and is followed by the Long Course Masters Meet on February 8th. On May 23rd and 24th we hold our premier meet of the year, the Long Course Licensed Level 1 meet which includes 9 year olds and is a great opportunity for swimmers to gain National Qualifying Times. Then on July 18th and 19th we hold our Short Course Graded Level 3 Meet. We finish the year with a further Short course Level 3 Graded Meet on September 19th. Yorkshire Masters
Tremendous performances and a bagful of medals for Rotherham Metro Masters swimmers at the Yorkshire Masters.
July Level 3 Final Program Available
The final read only session programs for the July Level 3 meet are now available.
Despite some stiff competition Metro swimmers brought the club home in 8th place in the top clubs list.
The results from the May Level 1 meet are now available, including BAGCATs and Top Club List. Congratulations to Loughborough University who won the Top Club award with Barnet Copthall in a close second place. Photographs are available from D.E. Metro came away with Top Club from the gala held on May 10th.
The trip to Sunderland was highly successful for Dale Waterhouse and several other Metro swimmers.

The annual Metro Masters meet was held at Ponds Forge on February 8th and saw a new British and European record achieved.
A highly successful two weekends of swimming in Leeds and Sheffield saw a Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals plus a totsl of 26 top ten places.
Alistair Crawford and Dale Waterhouse led the way as Metro had a successful weekend in Leeds.
Gala information and Sportsys entry file are now available. Note that in accordance with new licensing guidance from the ASA this event now has qualifying times.
