Two busy weekends of swimming saw Matthew Sotherhan win a hatful of medals, with some great swims from many of the other Metro swimmers competing at this prestigious gala.

City of Sheffield No Frills

A small group of swimmers attended the Level 1 meet at Ponds Forge and came away with a clutch of National Qualifying Times.

Metro earned top club thanks to some great swims from our young swimmers.

The July Level 3 meet is now full, apologies to all thos who may be disappointed.

Metro competed at the Derventio Excel meet and Matthew Sotheran led the way with a bagful of medals with many other swimmers gaining National, North Eastern and PB times.

The official club rankings have been updated for swims up to December 13th 2009 for Short Course and to April 11th 2010 for Long Course.

The read only draft program and rejections list by club has now been published.

Some excellent performances were turned in by Metro swimmers at this Level 1 meet, Matthew Sotheran again landing medals and NQTs.

Charlotte Pearson achieves a National Times as a number of our swimmers medalled at the Yorkshire Senior/Junior Championships held at the John Charles Pool in Leeds over the first weekend in February.

The Club's AGM takes place on March 14th 2010 at the new Maltby Pool.

Congratulations to Rotherham Metro who were Top Club, to Borough of Kirklees who were top visiting club, to Natalie Sharman of Cleethorpes and Scunthorpe who was Top Girl, and to Thomas Wells also of Cleethorpes and Scunthorpe who was top boy.

The final swimming session at the Maltby pool has taken place, evryone is now looking forward to the opening of the new pool.
