2009 Ponds Forge Galas
Rotherham Metro will once again host a number of galas at the prestigious Ponds Forge complex in Sheffield in 2009. The year commences with a 2 day Long Course A/B Grade Level 3 Meet on January 17th and 18th and is followed by the Long Course Masters Meet on February 8th. On May 23rd and 24th we hold our premier meet of the year, the Long Course Licensed Level 1 meet which includes 9 year olds and is a great opportunity for swimmers to gain National Qualifying Times. Then on July 18th and 19th we hold our Short Course Graded Level 3 Meet. We finish the year with a further Short course Level 3 Graded Meet on September 19th. Metro had a great day and were top club, many swimmers delivered fantastic performances, well done to all concerned.
Congratulations to Rotherham Metro who were top club, with City of Lincoln Pentaqua being the top visiting club, Bethany Kendall of Nottingham Leander was Top Girl and Joel Bland of Barrow was the Top Boy.

Metro win Division 1 at the June 29th round held at Chapeltown.
Lots of success for the club at the above B Grade meet held on July 6th at Ponds Forge.
Matthew Sotheran was Metros top performer at the NER BAGCATs held over the first two weekends of June.
Metro finished 3rd in the Top Club list with lots of medals for Metro swimmers.
